Getting Bored Dieting?

Written by Diet Bites

Our sweet tips that will assist in adding pizzazz to the most boring of weight loss plans....

A boring diet is a dead diet. If one could capture the energy and motivation existing at the time of Diet Liftoff, everyone would experience Diet Success. There would not be anyone who would not reach their weight loss goals.

Humans are inherently equipped for boredom. Even when we finally obtain that one thing that we strive to reach, that one thing that we feel will make us content forever - to a point to where we will never want anything else in our lives again because we now have it all - that feeling of requited bliss eventually fades.

That new house, that new car, that new outfit, that new job, that new boat, that new leather living room set that looks like it was blinked straight off the set of Bonanza into our own humble abode - and that big screen television all become aged acquaintances - generally before the first payment becomes due.

The thrill is gone.

In the case of dieting and weight loss, the individual may OR may not have accomplished weight loss and a healthier 'self'.

What can be banked at this stage, is that the dieter is contemplating getting off of their diet plan, and the reason can be pinpointed to boredom.

A bit like the Children in the Wilderness in Biblical times who yearned after the fleshpots of Egypt, the Listing Dieter desires what they once dined contentedly on. Such delicacies may have included desserts, pizza, hot buttered popcorn and Grandma's glass bowl of candied sweet potatoes.

The dieter is often placed in testing situations that can be maddening at best. At the movie theater they are hit with temptation of that hot buttered popcorn which is almost impossible to resist, even if they know it contains 1,650 calories. And when the non-dieting, 'unconcerned about their weight' office coworkers decide to have an impromptu pizza party for lunch - it's hard to sit and watch while the dieter is choking on a bag of raw vegetables. How boring is that/

If you are hem-hawing about staying on your diet - we hope you take root in recognizing the warning signs of a diet in Pre-Failure mode. OR, if you are currently enjoying your diet plan, we hope that you'll remember this article should thoughts of jumping off the Diet Wagon enter your future thoughts.

Your healthy diet and weight loss plan can indeed be rescued before it reaches a state of failure.  What do you need to do? Anything - anything at all that will energize your diet plan.

Find a magic hat within you. Look for reasons to remain on your diet plan that will motivate you to go forward. Grab that fashion magazine and take a long gander at that spiffy new outfit that you plan to order just as soon as you reach your weight loss goal.

Or get up and go take a good look in the mirror. Feast your eyes upon the marvelous changes that have been occurring as you've lost weight. Note those changes. If you took a photo of yourself before the diet - drag that out and notice the impressive differences in appearances. Sure, you'll always be your same sweet, adorable self on the inside - but the outward appearance is something you can measure as you lose weight. You can't see all the beautiful, healthy things that are happening inside - and if you could, that would motivate you to continue your weight loss plan like nobody's business.

Mix up your diet menu to include foods that you life that have been prepared in a Diet Friendly manner.

Quitters never win - and you've come too far to quit now. This is a situation when one must save their own self. It's mind over tummy, and your mind is much stronger than your tummy. However, the tummy is an experienced charmer, the child that lives within. Take charge of your diet and rope the wind.
