Dieting, fitness and weight loss isn't just for women anymore. Guys are jumping on the Diet Band Wagon by the groves.

Drag out the old grill - no, we aren't talking about your mother-in-law. Grilled meat, veggies and other delectable foods can be kind to your diet while providing the nutrition your body requires.

- The grill is also a perfect solution for guys dieting solo - whether single or not.  While we're on this point, if you are in a relationship consider asking your partner to keep temptation out of your way.  Food temptation, that is.

Guys tend to like sports so be careful to truly enjoy sports rather than by vicarious interaction or you could become a full-pledged couch potato.

For those times when you do enjoy watching sports play out in the old devil's eye, choose snacks wisely.  Hot air popcorn topped with no calorie butter spray should become your new darling, completely replacing your old girlfriend of hot buttered corn.  Yes, she's stacked with real butter, but just look at those tempting calories.  You can pass them up!

Choose diet sodas over regular and if you enjoy beer, keep it to one.

God saw fit to give you more muscle than your typically weaker kind, so you can expect to lose weight a bit faster than women. Another plus is that those muscles require more calories to support than fat. Which brings us to the next bullet...

Many men take up weights when they go on a weight loss plan. However, be certain that this is something that you want to stick with. Until you've decided, start out small and build up.

Before jumping into the Diet Waters it's a very good idea to visit with your doctor.  Yes, we know that most men don't like doctors because they don't like anyone telling them what to do, but your weight might just be the cause of an underlying disease.  Diabetes is a great example of a hidden disease that can cause the scales to rise swiftly or tumble swiftly.

. Consider ways to implement variety into your diet.  Experiment with new, unique foods.  Toss dried fruits into salads, add nuts to meat dishes. Replace whole milk with skim and so forth.

Be sure to relax.  It's one of the most important elements of your diet success.
