Once Upon a Diet Dreary,While I pondered so Diet Weak, so Diet Weary, About eating less, about eating much more,Came a rapping, tapping at my pantry door. I opened it up and what was there,Sitting on the shelf, it gave me a stare. T'was a long-forgotten bar of chocolate,Expiration date said two weeks till "eat it not". Chocolate, I shall crave for it on this Diet sore,For I shall not have it again, even nevermore. But wait - what is this I see?Dark chocolate this candy bar be? Rapture, joy, chocolate lust restored,Dark chocolate I can enjoy evermore. Dark chocolate filled with healthy benefits,Will kill my Diet Dreary, by using my wits. For it's good to be good, and it's noble to be true,But a diet without chocolate is a diet that is blue. NUTRITION NOTE: Recent good news to chocolate lovers: Enjoying a bit of DARK chocolate in your diet can render healthy benefits. Keep in mind that just a bit will do. Anymore equals Diet Death by Chocolate. Copyright Notice: This diet poem is copyrighted by Sky Taylor and may not be used online or offline without her written consent.
