Connecticut Diet Menu

Beautiful orchards, quiet mystic fascinations and cubby-corners of antiques are just a few of the fun spots in Connecticut.   We have built our Connecticut diet menu based on fresh fruits and vegetables that echo a salute to patriots then and now.

Free Connecticut Diet Menu - Total Calories About 450

Autumn Harvest Soup - Start with 1 cup of pumpkin (or acorn squash) cooked and blended until smooth.   Place in a non-stick, thick pot. Add 1 cup of skim milk, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 3 Tablespoons of Splenda, a dash of ground ginger, a dash of ground cloves and 1 Tablespoon of refrigerated no-calorie butter.   Cook until heated thoroughly.   About 3 servings for 60 calories each.

Thanksgiving Honeyloaf - Coat oven pan with non-stick cooking spray.   In a bowl, mix the following: 1 pounds of lean ground turkey, 2 Tablespoons of bread crumbs, 6 crumbled saltine crackers, 1 egg, salt and pepper. Press into pan top with a thick layer of catsup, then decorate with a few slices of onion and bell pepper.   Cook in preheated 375 degree oven until done - about 30 minutes.   Serves 6 for about 120 calories each.

Green Beans Bathed in Butter - Cook 3 cups of your favorite green beans until hot then top with the following mix: that has been heated together:   2 Tablespoons of no calorie butter spray, salt, pepper, 1 teaspoon of red plum jelly.   Serves 3 for about 40 calories each.

Pass the Bread, Buster - Enjoy 1 slice of your favorite bread up to 80 calories.

Dessert - Red Angel in a Cloud - Enjoy 1 sponge cake dessert cup (100 calories) filled with 1/2 cup of fresh or warmed frozen strawberries.   Top with 2 Tablespoons of LIGHT whipped topping.   Serves one for about 150 calories.   If a sweeter tart is desired, top strawberries with Splenda.

Delaware Diet Menu

Delaware - The First State, The Diamond State. There's no place quite like Delaware where one can enjoy a hootin' n hollern' hayride and a colorful autumn festival filled with roasted marshmallows and hot apple cider.

To savor the flavors of Delaware while dieting, we have created a menu that reflects the good things of this great state.

Free Delaware Diet Menu - Total Calories 470

Hayride Biscuits - Start with your favorite BIG biscuits (allow maximum calories of 150 for biscuit).  Bake, then split when cooled.  Fill with deli-thin lean honey ham (40 calories per serving), and 1 slice of cheese (70 calories), lettuce, sliced tomato and a smear of Mayo.  Serves 1 for about our recipe for 260 calories.

Delaware Diet Diamonds - Coat skillet thoroughly with cooking spray.  Carefully slice medium sized yam into thin slices, then cook in skillet until they reach preferred doneness.  

Spray with no calorie butter while still hot. Salt, pepper and sprinkle with ground cinnamon. Makes 2 servings for about bout 60 calories each.

Big Ice Slaw - Shred wedge of cabbage and 1 carrot.  Add dash of celery seed, salt and pepper.  Add 1 Tablespoon of milk and 1 Teaspoon of golden raisins (optional).  Add Splenda to meet personal preference. Makes 2 servings for about 50 calories each.

Dessert - Howdy Apple Pandowdy - Chop one small apple into bite size pieces, tossing away the core but leaving on the peel.  Place into a non-stick skillet sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.  Cook until tender on low heat - about 5 minutes.  

Add 1 Tablespoon of no calorie butter, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon and 1 teaspoon of light OR dark brown sugar.  Heat thoroughly.  Serves one for about 100 calories.
