Do take care when ordering the 'white egg' items as they can contain more calories than those containing both the white and the yolk.
For example, the 'Bacon, Egg & Cheese Bagel with Egg Whites' contains a whopping 570 calories, 25 grams of total fat, 9 grams of saturated fat, 1480 milligrams of sodium, 55 grams of carbohydrates, 0.5 grams of Trans fat, and 60 - yes 60 milligrams of cholesterol.
Just because a menu item omits the yolk doesn't mean that it's a healthy choice - or low in calories.
The sodium contain alone in this breakfast menu item is over half of the daily recommended high intake level for a healthy adult.
The fat grams exceed those contained in two frosted snack-variety cupcakes. Keep in mind that the Big Mac contains only 2 more grams of saturated fat!
As to the hotcakes, while they are delicious - they make a good choice but only if you can consume them without added maple syrup and margarine. Even dipping them into a small container makes a healthier choice over the syrup and added fat - in the form of the margarine or butter.

You should enjoy breakfast while dieting because it serves to jump-start your metabolism - but just don't enjoy it too much. Save room for those other meals in your day - like lunch and dinner. Remember those? And oh, those wonderful set snack times.
