While carb g are the focus of the low carb dieter, Burger King has some menu selections that can fit into any healthy daily diet plan.

It just takes common sense to note that anything fried is going to contain more fat g and more calories. Too many calories and the body responds with weight gain as excess energy is stored in the fat cells.

Whether carb dieting or not, bread and buns can be high in calories. Hamburger buns range from about 90 to 130 calories for a small bun to over 200 calories for a regular or oversized bun.

Carb dieters limit or omit bread as it's not only hefty in caloric content, but it's extreme in carb content. However, it's important to note that the food group that recommends more servings than any other is the Grain Group, placing emphasis on whole grain food choices.

If you're looking to trim carbs and calories from your diet where bread is concerned, substitute the bun for portabella mushrooms that have been roasted or grilled. Lettuce leaves also work well.
