To prepare chicken gravy at home - a healthier choice over commercially prepared, use the broth from your roasting pan after the bird is fully done. Add sauteed finely chopped onion and celery to the pot if you wish.
Thicken the broth with a mix of cornstarch and water - or flour and water. The amount of thickener used will depend upon how thin or thick you want the gravy to be. Add salt and cracked black pepper.
