A Healthy Lunch for Quicker Weight Loss Results

A healthy lunch.

How often do you find yourself working through lunch?Grabbing anything and everything so that you can meet that deadline which in turn will please your boss?

Do you often find yourself planted in front of a machine - most of the items already selected by other friends and co-workers.

You're stuck with a package of cookies that nobody's mother possibly ever made and a crushed bag of cheese coated something-or-another's.

Speaking for myself, I remember working through more lunches than I care to remember while my bosses took off for their two-hour lunch.

Sometimes they didn't return until I was almost ready to go home - and then they would tell me that I had to stay because they had a project that I needed to work on for them.

Like gee whiz, I do have a family, don't you? Unfortunately, most bosses are married to their jobs - actually, their positions and they never get tired of climbing up to the next rung of the ladder. If one looks very closely, the tops of their hot little hands are generally mined with hoof prints - I mean, shoe prints. Generally, high-fashion shoe prints. Heels even.

Nonetheless, during those younger years when I worked more than I have time to breathe, I grabbed anything in sight – from candy bars to chips just so that I could continue panning out that special project.

And of course, guess who did all the work and who took all the credit? What started out as the 'idea of boss' looked nothing like the finished project.

If this sounds familiar – it’s time for you too to break the cycle! It’s okay to think about yourself.

And yes, all of our lives we are basically taught to put other’s needs before our own, but if you want to be successful in getting control of your daily diet, then you must first be successful in getting control of your life. Like Ann and Andy, they go hand-in-hand.

And you don't want to end up like me - an old workhorse who was only allowed to look at the ladder but never to climb.

And if one has too much bacon on the backside like I did, and too many handles to love at once, they generally aren't allowed to climb the ladder as freely as their skinny peers - yet another reason to drop those unwanted pounds.

Always – and I mean always take time out to enjoy a peaceful lunch - whether you end-up being the boss or the workhorse.

Relax, savor each and every bite of food and drink. By doing such, I’m betting that you’ll be able to get more accomplished on that special project than you would have by working through lunch, providing that your boss isn't out sponge diving.

If there is time after you eat, take a brisk walk. Even five or ten minutes can make you feel like a million bucks - and who needs to own a million bucks when they can feel like a million?

Stretch those legs – put on some comfortable shoes if necessary – and enjoy yourself!

Next road block, seizing a healthy dinner.....
