How to Cut Calories
A
healthy metabolism equals quick weight loss! There
are a plethora of articles at Diet Bites that explain
how to raise the metabolism and lose weight at a healthy,
safe rate.
Cut
the fat to cut calories.
-This includes margarine, oils, lard, shortening and
butter. Sometimes it's not so much fun to cut
the butter, is it?
Cut the
sugar to cut calories.
- This includes sugar-filled desserts, donuts, cinnamon
rolls, cookies and sugar itself.
Cut
the whole dairy products to cut calories.
-This includes whole milk, whipping cream, evaporated milk, fresh cream, buttermilk
and regular sour cream.
Cut
the carbs to cut calories.
-Even if you aren't carb-dieting, cutting back on carbs
can cut calories dramatically. Foods to keep at
a minimum include: white pasta, white rice and white
bread.
How
to enjoy your diet while cutting calories:
-Substitute no calorie butter such as Parkay, and non-stick
butter spray for fat.
-Cut sugar intake in half OR substitute no calorie sweeteners
such as Splenda and Equal.
-Substitute whole dairy products for skimmed dairy products.
- Substitute complex carbs for simple carbs. White
bread for wheat bread, white pasta for wheat pasta,
and white rice for brown rice.
Even
