FDA Recommends Restaurants to Downsize Portions in Effort to Downsize Americans

The Downsizing of America Saga Continues

A government-commissioned study requested and funded by the FDA has taken a serious look at the way Americans eat while away from home and is recommending restaurants downsize portions in an effort to downsize Americans.  But that's just the start.

The report encourages restaurants to make lower calorie menu items the stars during marketing campaigns, to add healthy items to their menus such as fresh fruit, and to make calorie and nutritional information readily available to the consumer.
