Weight Loss - Motivated to Exercise

Weight Loss: Enjoying exercise so that it remains a permanent fixture in your healthy life.

Have you ever done anything that you were forced to do and felt a sense of contentment while doing such? Odds are, no.

We-humans don't like to be forced into anything - particularly when it involves good old-fashioned work and....exercise.

And exercise recommendations keep changing. The recommendations have spiraled from 10 to 20 minutes per day up to a couple of hours per day. Given our current mode of society, that's just not possible for some - although there are iron machines that promise to deliver stellar results in record time. Super hero machines, even.

The downside is that pumping iron to pump up muscles may not equal enough activity time for the body to achieve maximum benefits.

Sure, we can do things faster but when it comes to the heart - slow and steady wins the race. Therefore, adding more activity time to the time spent on an iron machine would be the most desirable circumstance.

And for those who don't have an iron machine and who can't exercise for hours on end - a good old fashioned walk will produce stunning results! And odds are, you'll feel a huge sense of contentment.

Exercise Tips That Motivate:

- As humans we need to be challenged to grow and flourish. If we're locked into the same dead-end routine it's not going to be exciting for long. We'll get bored. We start skipping days where exercise is concerned. And before long that little voice in our head mocks, 'what exercise?'.

Therefore, set rotating goals for yourself for activity and exercise time. Plan to shoot x-amount of hoops. Plan to walk x-amount of steps. Plan to swim x-amount of laps. Once you reach those goals, then reset and set new goals as your body builds.

- To keep fresh don't stop at goal setting. Move on to the next phase - shaking up your exercise routine. One day walk, the next shoot hoops. The next take a shopping trip and walk, walk, walk as you shop, shop, shop.

- Next, don't get stuck in a rut where specific activities are set in stone. Play with other options. If you've never been bowling, try it and you may love it. If you've never went ice skating - there's never been a better time.

In Summary: Whether it's our exercise routine or our love life we need to be motivated and challenged. Trying new things, setting goals and meeting those goals will work towards a healthier, stronger and lighter body. And one that will live a lot longer, too.
